Recognising
women. Lighting
Hyderabad.
A Lions Club of Kukatpally Centennial digital platform that identifies, documents and honours women creating impact across the city — featuring the Diya Entrepreneur Awards.
What we're building, and why
Vanitha is a digital-first recognition platform proposed as a Lions Club community service initiative. The website is the primary public-facing platform — not a promotional page for a single event.
Vanitha
Umbrella recognition platform for women creating community impact across different fields in Hyderabad.
Diya Entrepreneur Awards
Entrepreneurship-only awards within Vanitha — categories, nominations, profiles, voting and jury scoring.
The platform serves two connected purposes: recognition, through transparent criteria, jury review and public engagement — and community data, building a structured, consent-based record of women leaders, professionals, changemakers and entrepreneurs in the city.
Public voting is included, but it supports — it does not replace — independent jury evaluation.
Leadership outcome requested
Approval in principle to develop the digital platform, establish a club-led steering committee, finalise governance and brand compliance, and begin partner outreach — before any public nomination announcement.
How Lions, Vanitha, Diya & partners fit together
The public hierarchy and brand relationship, and how contributing organisations are recognised.
Recommended public lockup
LCI EMBLEM
Reserved slot only. The trademarked Lions Clubs International emblem is not reproduced in this concept site — drop in the brand-approved file from lionsclubs.org once the club authorises its use.
LIONS INTERNATIONAL BRAND-APPROVED EMBLEM / CLUB LOCKUP
Lions Club of Kukatpally Centennial — presents
VANITHA — A Lions Community Recognition Initiative
featuring the Diya Entrepreneur Awards
Powered by NB Blue Studios
Brand and governance note. The website must clearly state the initiative is led by Lions Club of Kukatpally Centennial. It should not imply that Lions International headquarters directly administers, endorses or selects awardees unless formally authorised. Only official brand-approved Lions assets should be used, and the final lockup, wording and emblem use should receive internal approval before launch.
Palette note
This concept site's accent colours (deep blue #0B3D91 and gold #F2B93B) are drawn from Lions Clubs International's royal blue and gold identity as a proposal. Exact brand values, the official emblem artwork, and approved usage rules should be pulled from lionsclubs.org's brand resources and confirmed by the club before anything goes public.
Partner hierarchy
| Level | Purpose | Illustrative recognition |

| Service Partners | In-kind products or professional services | Printing, mementos, stoles, photography, videography, venue, hospitality |

Scope of Vanitha recognition
Vanitha is broader than entrepreneurship — it recognises women whose work strengthens communities through leadership, service, professional excellence, innovation or measurable social contribution.
- Community Service & Humanitarian Impact — women leading sustained service or community interventions.
- Health & Well-being — women improving access, awareness, prevention or care.
- Education & Youth Development — women improving learning, skills, mentoring or youth opportunity.
- Environment & Sustainability — women advancing environmental responsibility or sustainable practices.
- Innovation & Professional Leadership — women creating notable innovation or professional impact.
- Arts, Culture & Creative Contribution — women preserving, advancing or using culture and creativity for impact.
- Entrepreneurship — handled entirely through the dedicated Diya Entrepreneur Awards stream.
Year 1 recommendation
Keep it selective. Begin with approximately 6–8 Vanitha recognitions and 6–10 Diya categories, subject to nomination quality, jury capacity and event support available.
Diya Entrepreneur Awards
The entrepreneurship-only stream inside Vanitha — rewarding credible enterprise, resilience, innovation, employment, sustainability and community contribution, not popularity or turnover alone.
Basic eligibility principles
- Woman founder, co-founder, owner or principal decision-maker.
- Enterprise based in, or substantially operating in, the Hyderabad metropolitan area.
- Business must be operational; duration requirement may vary by category.
- Information submitted must be verifiable.
- Nominees must consent to profile publication and voting if shortlisted.
- Partners, sponsors and club members may nominate — conflicts must be declared and managed.
The website is the blueprint
The site is the public face, nomination engine, voting platform, partner gateway, jury workspace and impact archive — organised by page and function.

Media & Stories
Contact / Join the Cause
Public users: visitors, nominees, nominators, voters, partners, supporters, media, invited guests. Secure users: administrators, screening committee, jury members, authorised Lions project leadership.
Nomination & data collection design
The platform collects data for award administration and, with explicit consent, builds a curated Hyderabad directory and impact dataset. Every field must have a stated purpose.
Nomination form sections
- Nominator details — self or third-party nomination; contact and relationship.
- Nominee identity — name, contact, area, professional profile, consent status.
- Organisation / enterprise — name, sector, year established, location, website, socials.
- Category selection — Vanitha stream or Diya entrepreneurship category.
- Impact evidence — problem addressed, beneficiaries, jobs created, reach, innovation, sustainability.
- Achievements — milestones, recognition, media coverage, measurable outcomes.
- Supporting documents — profile, registration proof, photographs, articles, references, optional video.
- Public profile consent — permission to publish shortlisted nominee information.
- Declaration — accuracy, rights to submitted content, conflict disclosure.
What the data is used for
Awards administration & eligibility screening · finalist profiles & voting (post-consent) · aggregated dashboards by sector/area/theme · opt-in outreach · annual impact report.
Governance requirements
Privacy notice published before collection · minimum necessary data · role-based admin/jury access · no public mobile numbers or sensitive documents · defined retention & deletion · separate marketing consent.
Voting model & jury governance
Public engagement without reducing the award to a popularity contest.
- Nominations received
- Eligibility & evidence screening
- Shortlist approved
- Public finalist profiles published
- Verified public voting
- Independent jury scoring
- Weighted result & leadership validation
- Winners announced at the event
Recommended weighting
Jury score weighs merit, evidence, impact and category fit. Public vote reflects community engagement and support — deliberately capped as the minority component.
Voting controls
Only shortlisted, consented profiles enter voting · one verified vote per person per category (OTP/email) · CAPTCHA, rate limiting, audit logs, anomaly alerts · no live leaderboard unless leadership approves · right to invalidate manipulated votes.
Three-level review
L1 Administrative screening — completeness, eligibility, consent.
L2 Independent jury — evidence-based scorecard.
L3 Steering committee — validates process, resolves exceptions; does not casually overturn jury decisions.
Conflict safeguards
- Jury members disclose relationships with nominees; a conflicted juror does not score that nominee.
- Service Partners and Community Supporters receive no automatic nomination or judging advantage.
- A partner organisation may be nominated only under a documented conflict-management process.
- Club members connected to a nominee recuse themselves from that nominee's screening or decision-making.
Service partners & community supporters
Year 1 relies on targeted in-kind Service Partners and modest Community Supporter contributions — keeping cash expenditure low.

Essential event elements
Simple branded stage & backdrop · professional emcee, timed programme · finalist videos where feasible · food & hospitality · photography/documentation · partner acknowledgements · Lions service message.
Initial cash position
Current working commitment: platform contribution through NB Blue Studios, plus approximately ₹50,000 for food and basic event requirements. Remaining value to be secured through in-kind Service Partners and modest Community Supporters before the event scale is finalised.

Leadership decisions & roadmap
What needs sign-off before development begins, and the sequence that follows approval in principle.

Sequence after approval — do not build the website yet
- Form the Vanitha steering committee under Lions Club of Kukatpally Centennial.
- Record formal approval — ownership, finance handling, reporting responsibility.
- Finalise Year 1 categories, eligibility and evaluation criteria.
- Confirm the Lions brand lockup and approved wording.
- Prepare the data dictionary, privacy notice and consent language.

"Vanitha is a Lions Club of Kukatpally Centennial digital community recognition initiative that identifies, documents and honours women creating positive impact in Hyderabad, featuring the Diya Entrepreneur Awards and a transparent nomination, jury and public-voting platform."
Stays true
Vanitha remains the umbrella platform. Diya remains exclusively for women entrepreneurs. Lions Club of Kukatpally Centennial is the project lead.
Built in, not decisive
Voting is built into the website but does not solely determine winners. Data collection is a deliberate second outcome, governed by consent and privacy.
Reduces cash need
Service Partners reduce cash expenditure. Community Supporters may fund essential event costs. NB Blue Studios powers the digital platform.
